Food & Beverage
employees work in a variety of locations from inside concession
stands to outside cart operations. Each worker should be able to
work in varying conditions that include, but are not limited to
food preparation, food cooking, food serving, cart operations
and general cleaning. These positions can be very busy and can
include conditions where employees will be required to stand for
long periods of time and work in high heat and humidity (40
degrees Celsius). Food & Beverage employees are required to
provide excellent customer service to Guests visiting the park.
Meet
your boss – Blake Douglas, Food & Beverage Manager
Blake has been working for Schlitterbahn Galveston Island
Waterpark for quite some time now. He was originally a group
Sales Representative, then was promoted to Sales Manager and
recently accepted the position of Food and Beverage Manager.
Blake has worked in the amusement industry for years, and has
worked for Six Flags AstroWorld and Six Flags WaterWorld.
Blake currently oversees our Food
and Beverage locations, food carts, catered events and much
more. When not at work, Blake enjoys listening to music,
wakeboarding and relaxing with his pets. Blake's hometown is
right up the road in Houston, Texas. He attended San Jacinto
College and the University of Houston.
