Returning Student Updates
Please check
back to this site on a regular basis for returning student
updates.
Schlitterbahn is no longer accepting return student contracts
for the 2010 Summer Season. If you are interested in working for
Sumer 2011, please contact us in the fall of 2010.
If you have a positive
rehire status, you may be eligible to return for our 2010 Work
and Travel Program. Schlitterbahn will only accept a set number
of return students, so it is important to contact us as quickly
as possible if you are interested in returning for the 2010
Summer Season.
Schlitterbahn Galveston Island's preferred sponsor company is
CIEE, but we will accept job contracts from sponsor company's
other than CIEE if the student agrees to arrange and pay for
their own housing. Kimberly has contracts for CIEE, but if you
are using an outside sponsor company, you are responsible for
emailing an electronic copy of the contract to her for
processing.
Housing Updates!
Schlitterbahn has a limited number of apartments available
to returning students this year, and will only be available to
extend housing to the first 10 returning students who request
it. As a reminder, only students who choose to obtain a job
contract through CIEE will be eligible to reside in
Schlitterbahn provided housing.
Students wishing to reside in Schlitterbahn provided housing may
not arrive any earlier than May 15th.
As the summer gets closer,
Schlitterbahn can provide you with contact information for local
apartment complexes that can provide apartments at reasonable
costs.
Rate of Pay Updates!
Students in all positions will be paid at a rate of $7.50 per
hour.
Our bonus program is still $1.00 per hour worked however, this
year students are required to stay and work for the entire
length of their contract with no exceptions. If you would like
to travel, you need to do so before your contract ends or make
arrangements with your boss to take time off while working.
